Katherine B. H. Dare
Katherine Dare earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Government Administration with a concentration in Legal Studies from Christopher Newport University, in Newport News, Virginia in 2004. She then worked for Charles B. Roberts and Associates in Woodbridge, Virginia before deciding to take her legal career farther.
She earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the Appalachian School of Law, in Grundy, Virginia in 2009. During law school, Mrs. Dare worked for the Buchanan County Commonwealth Attorney's Office. Also during law school, Mrs. Dare was involved in many community service activities and received the The Thomas Blackwell Heart of ASL Award in 2007 and The Willard Owens Award for Excellence in Community Service in 2009, as a result of her dedication to community service.
Mrs. Dare fell in love with western North Carolina while vacationing here and moved to western North Carolina in May 2009 after completion of law school. She lives in the Asheville area with her husband Sean and three dogs Mick, Hurley and Maggie.
